Breaking News: Renowned Nollywood actor, Mr Ibu, reportedly passes away

In a tragic turn of events, veteran Nollywood actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has sadly left us. Just within 24 hours of the loss of Quadri Oyebamiji, also known as Sisi Quadri, the Nollywood community mourns yet another great loss.

Mr Ibu, known for his comedic roles, had faced numerous health challenges, including surgeries that resulted in the amputation of his leg. Unfortunately, he succumbed to the hands of death on Saturday, March 2, at a hospital in Lagos.

Prior to his passing, there were speculations about his well-being as he had been absent from the limelight for over three years. News of his illness had gone viral, leaving many concerned about his condition.

It is worth noting that in 2019, Mr Ibu made shocking allegations that his own kinsmen had paid his domestic workers to poison him due to his successful career. Furthermore, in May 2022, he claimed to have been poisoned for the third time. In an interview with Vanguard Newspaper, he revealed that he had even glimpsed the other side but was miraculously brought back to life by God.

Despite the challenges he faced, Mr Ibu remained resilient and grateful for the gift of life. His illness taught him valuable lessons, and he expressed surprise and gratitude for still being alive.
