An unidentified man has miraculously been rescued from the wreckage of the devastating explosion that shook Ibadan on Tuesday. The incident, which occurred on Dejo Oyelese Street in the Bodija area, caused panic among residents of the city. Arise Television shared a video of the man being carefully transported to an ambulance for further medical attention. The National Emergency Management Agency has reported that more than 20 houses were affected by the explosion, but there is still no information on the number of casualties. The agency has confirmed that the explosion was caused by a suspected Improvised Explosive Device. Meanwhile, Governor Seyi Makinde has revealed that the explosion was a result of explosive devices stored by illegal miners in one of the houses in Bodija. Preliminary investigations by security agencies have been launched, and those responsible will be held accountable. Sadly, two people lost their lives, and 77 others sustained injuries. The state government has urged residents to evacuate the area to allow for uninterrupted emergency and rescue operations.
